Product code: R2939MBOOT

Features Goodyear welt construction. Genuine full grain leather upper. Cushioned inner sole and padded collar and tongue for comfort. Rubber outsole for extra durability.
Goodyear Welted is a method of shoe construction first developed nearly 200 years ago and remains to be widely considered as one of the best.
A strip of leather (the welt) is sewn around the bottom of the upper and the insole – this is filled with a foam like material for extra padding and comfort and also allows the entire sole to be removed without causing damage to the full grain leather upper – meaning that, if looked after, they can last a lifetime.
This product comes with our 2 Year Leather Guarantee

  • Genuine full grain leather upper
  • 3cm Heel
  • 2 Year Leather Guarantee

Sorry Justin and BJ, but compared to $400 Doc Martins, these boots are fantastic value for money, and the quality of stitching, and leather, combined with a replaceable sole, makes them unbeatable. They are a hard sole boot, so if you want to walk on air, you should choose wisely, and a simple $10 inner liner raises the comfort level. I am rapt, so please Rivers, keep up the good work.

Good upper, let down by innersole

The shoe is good for its price, if you are only on your feet a few hours at most. As someone who can be on their feet 15+ hours, I can tell you the innersoles are the weak point. I have had to put in ...

The shoe is good for its price, if you are only on your feet a few hours at most. As someone who can be on their feet 15+ hours, I can tell you the innersoles are the weak point. I have had to put in 3 layers of replacement inners to cover how bad the sole is.

I bought a pair of these boots in 1990 here in NZ, which came with a 20yr guarantee, and even tho they cost me over $200NZ, they are the best boot's I ever owned!!! LOVE THEM...!! Unfortunately that went missing in 2012, other than a small cut in the toe where I dropped my loppers, 12 yrs after buying them, they were still in perfect condition .. I was wearing them almost every day, in the rain, mud, snow, horseriding, on motorbikes, an hiking and even to work in the vineyards. So Yeah.. If ya can afford them - get them! I'll be buying my 2nd pair as soon as I can scrape enough together to get them.. Thanks River's for creating one of the best boots in the world.. I have been recommending this exact boot to my friends for years. I hope the clearance price doesn't mean you're deleting them.. Please don't?!?!

I have been wearing these boots for years now. These boots have become my favourite shoes period. Comfortable, hard wearing and durable. The only minor downside is that the soles wear out before the leather topsides. I wear these daily and they last easily 12 months if not more. I use them for bush walking and just general walk around shoes. They do it all with style, I would highly recommend these and the price point is way better than specialist hiking or walking boots.
